Darren Williams was a man who had such a positive impact on so many. He was devoted to his family and his AFL team, Kiama Power. Darren sadly passed away in April 2019 after suffering from a heart attack while watching his boys play his beloved game.

The Williams family are determined for the kind, generous, family and community oriented spirit Darren embodied and brought out in so many people continue by setting up the Darren Williams Research Fund. This fund will help create medical breakthroughs to keep families together for longer.

All funds raised in the Darren Williams research fund will go towards Professor Gemma Figtree’s BioHeart project. These funds will help Professor Figtree and her team improve early identification of coronary artery disease and atherosclerosis beyond traditional risk factor assessment and will help guide personalised preventative therapies.
